You all know modern ATX Computers have this so called Suspend mode. This is really practical for Laptop computers.

I just reinstalled WinME on my Laptop computer. And now if my Laptop enters the Suspend mode it stops responding. I have to power it off and restart. Before I did the reinstall it worked fine (Factory installed Win98 manually upgraded by me to WinME). The computer would enter the suspend mode and I could recall it by pressing the Suspend button on the Keyboard.
Now I think the problem could be that the suspend button is on the keyboard and when the Laptop enters the suspend mode it shuts off the keyboard. (I don't know???)
Any ideas how I can reconfigure this so it works like before?

I found several references to your symptoms in Microsoft Knowledge Base. Just did a search using "suspend" as keyword. Good Luck http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I didn't find anything (for my problem) on the Microsoft site.
I also looked around the forum and most people reported the problem vanished when they disabled PM in the Bios.
Now that isn't really possible (or better reasonable) on my Laptop because it has a P3 Speedstep CPU and I have to enable Speedstepping through the Bios (no Win-Option there).

BTW: I still have the old install of Win on another partition and Power Man. works perfectly with it. Maybe it has something to do with the IRQ?? Might look into that. Also as far as I can see I have the same PowerMan. things installed in the Device Man. on both Installations.
