Any thoughts on a T-bird 900 vs a PIII 800? need some input

I have been given the go-ahead to put together a system for a friend that will be
using it to record his music. Are there any compatibility problems with the AMD? The major program that will be used is Logic Audio through an Isis Maxi-Studio card. All the components are high end, and the only real stumper is the 900 on an Asus A7V or the PIII on an Asus CUSL2. It will not be overclocked. I sure like the looks of the T-Bird performance. Any real life problems/raves?
