I was just wondering if there was anyone who makes REALLY customized computers. Besides the "Black" computers and the "I-Mac" I've seen, everything is pretty much your basic white. I had a friend who customized his case...sanded the paint off and painted it neon-green and plastered it with Korn, TOOL, and Ailen stickers. Not exactly the "norm", but there's got to be a market for personalized computer cases, keyboards, monitors-etc... I don't really know what would work, but maybe something like a fuzzy-wuzzy animal (zebra, lion, cat) that would make a computer look less intimidating sounds like a good idea. Or maybe a Clear Cased Computer and Monitor, keyboard. I'd like that one. Or you could send a picture of your face to a case manufacturer so they could put your picture on the case and he could make it look like your mouth was opening when you opened your cd-rom. Okay...maybe that one is streatching my "vison", but there are lots of thing you could do. Just an idea...made late during the night. Me no responsible. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif (Unless you want to go partners to market the idea...) http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I've seen some really nice wood veneer models. I like the idea of photo printed units. I had stickers all over the front of my first system, I just used the "Yes", "No" "Accept" and "Peel Here" stickers that come with junk mail.

You're right, there is a market. Apple has proved it and the problem is identifying and accessing it without getting squished by the big guys.

Powder Coating is a million times better than paint.... Very, very scratch resistant and will never fade. The textured (wrinkle) type looks best and doesnt show fingerprints..The only down side is that it cant be used on plastic (as far as i know). This is because the material is electrically charged for coating application, then the coating is baked on @ 400 degrees! Tough and great looking though..Just a thought, i dont get many.....

Ya, 400 C is a bit hot for my tastes, even 400 F! I like paint, first, I do not have to cook my case, second, I can do it in my garage, 3rd, if I paint it and I don't like the color, I just paint a different color. Oh, and it is smooth

Just treat it like a car. A little sanding, Bondo up any little dents, and give it a blast of Tremclad. **** stuff sticks to practically anything. Maybe paint it to look just like it's surroundings? It'd kinda disappear... How about chrome plating? Mirrored? Camoflauge? That could be cool... Unless you're in an office or something... lol
