the card in question is a ge force 2 mx400 64mb its got dual display and a ps2 type fitting on the back i belive is tv/out. how do i use it ? is there a special lead with a scart on one end and a ps2 on the outher? thinking of watching dvds on my 28"tv, also will i need a dvd decoder like power dvd or will the card do it ?
all it says on box is "nvidia ge force 2 mx400" i know a lot of companys use the chipset but cant find anything just nvidia any help greatfull

Hi,

The 'ps2 fitting' is an s-video output. If your TV supports s-video,(you will have a similar plug on your tv) then all you need is an s-video cable.

There should also be an RCA output on the back of the card (small yellow female output) that you may use instead of the s-video.

Plug you choice of connection in, and power up the computer, (after you might have to go into display properties and select your TV as the output source)

As for watching dvd's, I think you can, if your cd-drive supports dvd's, yet i'm not sure if the playback will be as good as one with a hardware decoder.
