Not that I'm complaining, but why the sudden drop? I think this is the lowest prices have ever been. Anyone know why?
I remember paying $150 for 4 mb of 30 pin memory not too long ago, now you can get 256 SDRAM for less than $100.

Watch out with some of these cheap 256meg memory sticks. They are built using 16 32x64 memory chips, meaning they will not work with Intel's BX, i810, and 815e chipsets. For those with VIA KT-133 or Pro133A boards, you should be OK.

Rob...I have a couple of i440lx units and I`ve been watching the pc100. Is it the same with these?

If the memory your looking at says it has 16 32x64 memory chips, then it will not work with any Intel chipset motherboard, including the LX. One exception does exist, the Intel i820, but Intel has recalled most SD-RAM i820 boards due to a faulty memory translation hub.

I've heard that RAM will bottom out about December then begin to rise again. The time to buy is now http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
