I'm planing on seting up a network for me household, 10/100 cable connection. but I don't want to buy a wireless access point for the laptop. So what I want to know is, if I have 2 network cards, one cable, one wireless in a computer, will it act as a hub for the laptop, on will the laptop only be able to acces that computer??

It would access that one computer unless you can set a gateway address.

I would get a PCMCIA network card (such as a 3Com for $15) in the laptop and wire it to a hub/switch.
