Modem wont dial

Every time I go to dial up on my system, i get an error 602, modem is being used by another program. How do you clear this up, as I cannot dial my isp.

Do you have any fax software, or telephone answering software? If so it is probably set to start with your computer. Turn it off. If not, what kind of computer and operating system?????

I would agree with surrealchereal.... and you could also try this, just to see if you can dial..
ctrl+alt+del to bring up running programs and end task on rnaapp, then try your dialup.

Some PDA software hangs up the serial port as well, I know the Psion did, casused me to scratch my head for a bit .
