I dont know if Im looking at this all wrong but I seem to have a bug with win98 Se it goes something like this.
Up until recently I have been using Dimension 4 time sync to keep my computers clock spot on. Recently the following started to happen, my computers clock would start to jump 30 minutes ahead without explanation if I sit and watch the clock in the control panel the it happens when the second hand reaches the 4 (twenty seconds past) and then it goes back to the right time at the 10 (50 seconds past the hour).
This often happens but not always ?? If I change the time zone to GMT this doesnt happen (I am in a time zone that is GMT +9.5). One thing that could effect this is that the state in Australia that is on the same longitude went onto daylight saving recently (about when the problem started)
Question does Win98 think that my time zone has daylight saving although this doesnt make sense because daylight saving is a 1 hour adjustment not a 30 minute one.
I have removed Dimension 4 Time sync and the same still happens ????

Not only is that problem unusual, a .5 in reference to GMT seems unusual. I'm sure that would exist, just never seen it used before.

I think that's the key, it just doesn't expect or like a fractional difference referenced to GMT. Sorry, I've no idea how to fix that. There may be something in Microsoft Knowledge Base?

Half an hour time difference is not unusal. The Province of Newfoundland is 1/2 an hour ahead of Atlantic Standard Time. 1 1/2 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
