If I've ever needed help, now is the time.
I was't home for most of the snow today but when I finally decided to brave the weather I got back to an apartment w/ no power going on and off.
My system is on a apc ups powerstrip, not the kind that connects to the pc and tells it to shut down. My roomate told me the power went out and it my puter was on the battery and he didn't shut it down, I wish he had but that is in the past. The battery died after 15 min or so and then the power didn't come back on for four hours. It then stayed on for abour an hour then went off again. for a couple minutes, and that is when I got home. I found the thing running but when I turned on the monitor nothing would display so I tried the good old Ctrl Alt Del and I got no response. I tried restarting it manually a couple times but still nothing. I thought that maybe my monitor was fried so I gragged a spare but still nothing. Tried using win xp cd to boot system but it wouldn't, tried booting from a floppy too but it won't get that far.
Well that's where I'm at.
any ideas???????
