TDK Velo 24x

Tomorrow (1/6/02) at circuit city they will have the 24x10x40 TDK Velo internal burner for 59.99 after rebates. a few questions. does any one know who makes this burner for TDK i heard older velos were plextor but no clue where i heard that so it could be pure BS.
Also does any one know if this burner can over burn. I've got some 99minn cds i really would like to get some use out of.
so if any one can answer these Qs. or just comment on the TDK burner, id appreciate it.

Oh boy are you lucky....
I'm not sure but I belive the drive is made by Plextor.
I have the X16 and is incredible,great software and very easy to use,so you know it didn't "screw up" once yet in two months.
Oh boy are you lucky....you'll be getting a faster drive and chiper than me too,but that is the name of the game you Know.
I'm getting one for a friend(new system from the ground up and this baby goes in ,you bet).
If you get it set it as master on a different channel that your source drive.Good luck.

I have the 12X and it's great. Use nero5 that came with it. I think it's the same as plextor.
