Diablo II and cd rom issues. Pls help if u can.

I seem to have a minor problem when playing D2 on my comp. Every once in a while, my cd rom drive will start up for no reason and my computer will lag for a couple of seconds. This is very minor but this does not happen on my other system. Perhaps it is caching or something (I seem to recall this happening on some other games I used to play). Anyone know the setting I need to switch so that it doesn't do this? At first I thought it was b/c I did a full install, but I reinstalled with the recommended configuration and still it happens.

My system is a Dell 1.7GHz, 512mb, GeForce2 MX, SB Live!, Direct X 8.1a, etc.

Yah that happends when you are in Act 5 most of the time. But you can go to D2's home page and visit their FAQs section, if i am not wrong they post something about it.

It uses a program to stop your CD-Rom from spinning.
