My Win98 CD is cracked so I've made a copy of it using Direct CD (I closed the CD so it could be read on any computer).
I checked that it worked by running Setup while in Windows & that was fine. However if I boot from the Win98 setup floppy and then try to use the CD I get an error message that the setup files can't be found. I can bring up a directory of the files but if I try to access any of them I get an Invalid Directory message.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get round this and use the disk?

Thanks :)

I would suggest that if you tried to copy a cracked CD then you will no doubt have errors. If you contact Microsoft they will normally replace damaged legal disks, after all you are paying for the licence rather than the CD itself..

Yep, definitely contact Microsoft. Usually they'll want you to send them the original cd with the reg code (on back of cd case). For a fee of course. And I say usually, because, Microsoft is supporting WinXP more than 98 now. So they may try convincing you into buying WinXP.
