Well, overclocking the GPU doesn't make much difference in video card performance... What gives you the difference is memory speed...

For example, raising the core from default 200Mhz to 240Mhz with 32bit color at at 1024 x 768 will get you less than 4 frames! In 16bit mode, it'll give you about 6 frames performance gain. Honestly, is it worth the risk of frying your GPU to get the extra few frames? I don't think so...

Raising the memory clock speed from default 333Mhz to 408Mhz with 16bit color at 1024 x 768 will get you about 12 frames performance gain and about 9 frames increase in performance at 32bit mode. This may be a safer method to get marginal performance increase of the video card since memory doesn't fry like GPU's do, they will simply just give out and crash.

Out of interest, say im getting bad memory overclocking, but good GPU overclocking, if i lowered the GPU - is it possible that memory overclocking performance would increase?? - ie less artifacts??

I've gotten my G3Ti 200 to oc to 220/425 with occasional lockup and more stable oc to 210/425.

GeForce2 Pure pro from stock 200/400MHz to 220/438MHz. A 10% boost. Could probably go higher with different software, but why push it?

My PNY gf3ti200 runs excellent at 230/450 no reason to push it as nothing i use really pushes this card that much anyway.

I have a GF2MX400 with 64MB 5ns SDRAM with 200/385 standart.
I have only a HS on my GPU, Have not a FAN on it, nor HS on the RAM (really quiet, isn't it?).
The stable OC speed I've reached is 220/420. I've tried also 225/440 and this works, no any crashes or lockups, but with a crappy graphics (seems like RAM is the issue). I really need a FAN to my GPU and HS to my RAM, because my Graphics Card can go even more higher.

For now, simply, I do not need a faster graphics, because all games are just flying excluding 1600x1200 where I get 20-25fps, but I don't think I'll play at this resoultion, because I don't see any difference in quality between 1280x1024 or 1024x768 and 1600x1200, and my monitor do not support higher than 68Hz in 1600x1200, so that's not ergonomic and acceptable for eyes.
And as for me, 3DMark2000 and 2001 scores are more than acceptable: 5887 in 3DMark2000 and 2800 in 3DMark2001.
