Can It be Detremental to Make the Swap file too big?

Does a smaller swap file mean better preformance, or just less space used up?
I saw somewhere to make it only 100 MB while other places have twice the amount of RAM you have (It doesnt make sense to me cuz the more RAM u have the less u need a swap file)
SO what Should I do?
I have lots of HD space to burn
I have 192 RAM.

I usually dont run anything more than 5 IE windows, OE, ICQ, IM, and Winamp (U know huge playlists eat up mem? Usta crash all the time when I had 64 RAM), Along with some little apps like waterfall, and my SBL Launcher.

Knowing this, how big should I make my swap file?

Well there are various thoughts on this. I have 256 RAM and my system still uses swap file which is set at fixed 150 megs.

Have a t look at following sight a loy of optimization articles. Swap file is about half way down the page, look carefully.

Uh oh
I print stuff and my comp runs out of system resources (only during print)
I set it to 100MB Virtual + 192MB Physical.
Is this dying during print a result of too small a swap file?
Should I make it bigger?
While running 6 IE windows and Q2, ICQ, Winamp w/ huge playlist, and 2 downloads, I was only using a 30MB swap file
And i saw somewhere where Your supposta set it to Your max w/ everything running that you would ever run Plus 10Mb, But figured id play it safe and go 100MB
Should I make it bigger?

heh...my swap is like 400 megs...call me crazy if you want. Maybe I am.
