bouncing windoze 98

hi all , when i open my browser,windoze xplorer 6, the whole screen bounces up and down momentarily,tried the different refresh rates for monitor and adapter,monitor is nec multisync 4fg
graphics card is riva tnt m64, when i close my browser and run progs same thing happens, it stops if i reboot then within starting progs or browser again, it goes belly up, please help

Check for viruses.
If didn't help, then it is the monitor's issue. All CRT monitors more or less react to a brightness changes. Search for a Nokia Monitor Test and see one of them related to the size changes after brightness changes. Smaller resolution will diminish this effect.
