I downloaded clonecd to copy some cd's, and it set both my cd burner and dvd-rom into raw mode. Now my dvd player won't even recognize dvd's! It works with cd's, but on some of them it won't autoplay or show the little picture in My Computer. I went into the dvd drive's properties and it says the file system is RAW mode, but on another computer that plays dvd's the file system is FAT. I tried uninstalling clonecd and went into its settings to see if there was a tool that would take the drives out of raw mode, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

C'mon, doesn't anyone know about this? I'm sure it can't be that hard; it's probably right under my nose but I can't see it!

CloneCD's big attraction is that it writes in RAW mode, allowing exact duplicates of CD's.
If you DVD shows RAW mode, that is because you have a CD in it that was written in RAW mode. If you put a retail DVD or audio CD (and reboot the system) what mode is reported then? The correct one, right?

It's in the correct mode when a disk is in the drive (I'm not sure about DVDs because I don't own any) but when I take it out it goes back to RAW. I hope I get this figured out...

Thats normal to have it say RAW in the properties, I had RAW written even when I didnt have a cd writer or Clone CD. Some DVD cant play some CDs and thats normal. U have a CD RW drive, it should be able to read everything other than DVDs. dont think u'll have problems. In one place u said it doesnt recognise DVDs then in the other post u said that u dont have any DVDs?????..

I just rent them from Blockbuster.;) I tried the same DVD on both my computer and my sister's computer, but it only played on hers. When there is no disk in her DVD drive, the file system is FAT, but when there's no disk in mine, the file system is RAW.
