good day all,my recent questions are about what is in my scandisk logs..when i lock up on internet,i sometimes will have xx lost clusters in x chains..other times i will have free space reported incorrectly..and just now i had a freak reboot and the scandisk came up with free space incorrect..win98se p233mmx not o/c'd..

Before I updated my modem drivers my computer was always crashing whilst connected to the Internet. On restarting, my Norton scandisk would report allocation errors, lost clusters etc but then would fix the errors for me. I don't think you have a virus however, just the computer shutting down incorrectly then restarting. As long as you have some sort of utility to fix these errors you will be OK.
