I had a problem previously with my motherboard. I got Abit VA-6 and PIII-333. My system used to restart or freez immediately after I slightly move it. So I decided to "get smart" and open up the case and take it apart to see what the problem is. I took HDD, CD-ROM, Floppy drives out of case, but the system would still freeze from slight impact. Something was wrong with mother board of CPU. I took CPU out and just dusted then I put it back, and it never started again. I makes weird noices when it boots. And I hear hard drive working but monitor does not turn on...please help...Would it be because I moved CPU or is something wrong with Video card? How can I figure out if the problem is the CPU? Is there any way to check if it works? Thanks...

You may want to check Power Supply and cables. I had problem a few years ago on P-333 computer. use volt-meter and see if any voltages drop when taping around. Also you may want to move cables around a little to see if computer drops out.

You can take your CPU to the nearest Computer Store and ask them if they would test it for you... They may even do it for free...
