I think you have killed your bios as it says on the update bios screen "DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER".

Well all you shall need is a new motherboard.

You can remove the bios chip find the number off it and you can buy a new one they are only a cuple of qued.

This works for Award & Pheonix. You will need an ISA VIDEO card and a ISA CONTROLLER card.
1. Take all cards out of machine.
2. Disconnect your CDROM,HDD, & FLOPPY.
3.Install ISA video and ISA controller cards.
4. Connect FLOPPY cable to the ISA controller card & Monitor to video card.
5. Boot to your start-up floppy.
6. Go to A:\ Then insert your flash utility floppy and run it.
7. Install your Flash .bin file.
8. Re-boot when told to.

There is a safe recovery in the BIOS boot record. You can only access it with the ISA bus. Therefore the need for the cards. If anything other than the ISA cards are plugged in , the BIOS with the bad flash will be overloaded. The first time I did this, I purposely flashed the chip wrong . Just to see if I could do it . IT WORKED GREAT !! Good Luck and let me know how you make out . After your good flash, reinstall your original cards etc.

if you are really need some idea, try short Circuit the battery (save this to the very end).

If you don't believe this to be true, try it ! BUT, NEVER, NEVER, SHORT OUT YOUR BATTERY !!!!!!!! You'll get a dead battery. If you want to short out anything , it would be the capacitor next to the battery that retains the charge for the bios memory. If you try to short out this cap, do it with the battery removed. And also know that the spike from the discharge may DESTROY your EEPROM !!!!!Stay with what I stated before, I KNOW IT WORKS !!!!!!!

I do agree if you do decide to discharge the bios, remove the batery and fit a bulb 6volt from a torge across the capasitor next to the batery and that wont destroy your bios.

One of my IT friends says he was trying to flash the bios, but when he restarted the computer, it didn't work, he just short Circuit the battery and it turned on, Don't try this, {{he might of just got lucky}}}:(

Do not short Circuit the battery that is very dangeres you could kill the eeprom and damage the batery.Short Circuit the battery dos the same think as discharging the capasitors if you dont want to use a bulb across the cap or you dont know where it is a jumper near the batery move that from pin 1and two to pin two and pin thr remove the batery and leve it off for couple of hours.
