I recieved this board for christmas and was thrilled my previous board was an AK31 Shuttle. Although I had seen rave reviews on the Dragon+ I seem to be having an awful time in trying to get this board up and running correctly. I have been reading all of the posts in the forums looking for clues as to what it is that I am doing wrong however up to this point no sucsess in resolving my problems. I still cannot get my board to run with the FSB at 133mhz although the DDR ram appears to be running at 133 without a problem. One other thing that I recently noticed after looking in the Bios under PC Health where it shows CPU temps Fan Speeds etc... My CPU fan speed does not seem to be very consistant. It changes from a reading of 0 to 1750 to1170 and 2280 sometimes higher. I am also already aware of the FOC control and yes my fan is plugged into the cpu #1 header on the board. To get the PC to start I have to press the insert key to bypass the FOC function.
And one more thing In the Soyo Combo feature under the 1 mhz stepping I am unable to key in a DEC number because the box is grayed out and not accessable. I do seem however to be able to change the values by using the page up or page down keys on the keyboard.
Just ordered a stick of PC-2100 Crucial to try along with a ThermalRight SK-6 to see if this may make a difference. I have done the following as of today :
1. Repartitioned and reformatted my HDD.
2.Cleared the Bios by removing the battery for about 10 seconds.
3. Flash Updated the Bios to KVXA2BA1.BIN shows up as K7VXA2B1 in the post.
4.Installed the latest 4 in 1's from VIA (4.37)
5.New install of Windows 98SE
6.Installed direct x 8.0 from Soyo installatio CD.
7.Installed latest N Vidia drivers for my video card.

But still cannot get the FSB to run at 133mhz !

I would appreciate any help that I could get with this issue PLEASE!
Thank You

Sorry to read about your problems.I also got this board for Xmas and I have to say that is great ,even that a have a little thing going on with the post beeps,But that is not your problem and I hope tech support from Soyo can help.
Anyway, I haven't play at all with it to tell you what is wrong but for what I can read my first move will be to change, replace, or at list plug a good (Known) working fan at that header.
I would recomend (if you fell the need to start from 0 again) to set it up outside the case, with no add on cards and with default settings and load your OS, after this start playing with the FSB.
GOOD LUCK.

Before you try the fan, double check the atx power connector. Make sure the pin sleeves are not bent(opened too wide). If it's okay, then definately check the fan. I also rebooted checked the fsb settings and you may have a corrupted file??? I have no problem with the DEC option box. Do you happen to have the bios set to run in turbo or normal? try normal. Turbo mode cuts out certain other setting options and may be affecting your access.
