My computer was infected with the above virus about two weeks ago. I deleted all infected files and a virus scan shows my system is now clean. However,it has left me with some problems. The Recycle bin, my computer and control panel views are now different. I cannot view them as a web page and some of the information is off the bottom of the screen. Also, the IE5 128 bit encryption no longer works and I am denied access to financial records. Does anyone have any ideas?

The latest Nortons update will protect against it but dont know if it will fix it after the damage.
Here is a fix I copied from www.symantec.com (http://www.symantec.com)
1)Delete all .vbs files from your system.
2)Delete the file Us-president-and-fbi-secrets.htm from your Windows directory.
3)Run regedit to make the following registry modifications:
Delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run \plan colombia
Delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run \LINUX32
Delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Services\reload
4)Replace your logos.sys and logow.sys files from the original Windows disks if they have been modified.
5)Search all local hard disks for hidden MP3 and MP2 files. The hidden attribute must then be removed.
Here is the link to the above and information regarding its damage.

I hope this helps
