I currently have my athlon tbird 1.4 overclocked to 1.6 (133*12) with the temps reading in the 55 (idle) to 63 (loded) range. It runs about 10 degrees cooler at standard speed. Im using a Globalwin WBK 38 Hsf (with thermal grease) and two additional case fans (one blowing in at the front, one blowing out the back under the psu). This is the best temperature i seem to be able to get. Does anyone know of a better Hsf that would be available in australia and has anyone else had problems with temps while overclocking this cpu?

I'd say you are doing pretty good. I cannot get my 1.4 oc to 1.6Ghz. I believe the only way to lower you temps would be to get a water cooled case.

Even though i dont own an AMD reading other post, thats high but not unusally high. You may want to make sure the bottom of your heatsink and fan is flat and has no concave. Make sure your case has at least one intake and AT LEAST ONE exhaust. Without an exhaust fan the hot air build up and sit right in the area of most hs/f and then you are stuck cooling the heatsink with warm air. Although i guess you arent really colling it huh??

The exhaust fan will make a big difference. You also may want to look into upgrading to delta fans.
