...I can't figure out how to post a pic into a message. I've read SysOpt's policy on this, and plan to be in compliance. The pic in question lives on another server. I just need to know what the heck needs to be typed in to show the pic in the body of a message. Thanks.

it should be in the forum faq...but anyways, the command for a photo is [IMG*]hostsitedhere[/IMG*] without the *

good luck

Hey did ya know a "nimrod" is a GOOD thing...it refers to being nimble with your rod...ummm...archery of course...BUT my FAVORITE picture poster is "post my pic"...there are some restrictions to your post (60 days is as long as its posted) but its so handy its perfect...give it a try you can post a pic in 10 seconds...heres a pic from my marble collection

OK, maybe I've missed something. Example: <IMG SRC="http://www.tulsatime.net/sam/beer3.jpg" border=0>

TKOP, thanks, but that's just a hosting service, right? As above, I've got it uploaded, just can't figure out how to post the thing on here! BTW, cool marble.

Well, I'll be damned, it worked! Didn't work last time I tried it. I've learned something here, yet I'm still a nimrod! Thanks for your help.

Sorry Thud but beer has been working its magic a lot longer than that.

You shouldn't be posting pics unless they are hosted on your own server.

NOW, printkey worked the magic yet once again.

To the horror of all the prtscreen fans, printkey lets me grab the nice pic for e-mail to my g/f.

Thanks, she'll like that one http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

You don't need to press the "Print Screen" key. All you have to do is put your mouse pointer over the "beer picture" and right click on your mouse button and select save as. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

BTW, this method doesn't only apply to image files that are on SysOpt, it also works on other HTML pages that have images on them. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

"Post my pic" allows you to simply upload pics to THEIR server, ive been using it for months here and SoCalGal hasnt yelled at me for it yet...

PostMyPic is legal, as long as you're uploading the image from your machine/server.

The important thing is to not link the image directly from the website where the original pic is located. Doing this steals their bandwidth.

Do a "Save As..." on your hdd, then upload to PostMyPic or your own site.

Cool looking marble, TKoP http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

OK, I'm lost. The pic resides on my server, and I posted it here using the [IMG] command, pointing it to the address where the pic resides on my host. I thought that was the right way. Help!
