Asus a7v266-e

I have a a7v266-e motherboard with 512 ddr crucial. mem. 1.4 althon. radeon 64 ddr vivo. plextor 16-10-40, copper heatsink.


Ok I can't run the chip to full speed only 1200 or below. Windows XP and window 2000 both do memory dumps and reboot. When running @ 133 bus or even close to it. Wont run windows set up for XP or 2000 I just get blue screen. Sometimes says Irq not lessor equal. Or invalid page fault, I have changed mother boards returned it and got new one, mem changed, and the video card. So I know its not those. No modem installed and no sound except the onboard sound. I need help any ideas??

Do you have the latest bios on your motherboard??
Maybe you have a dodgy cpu.

yes i even tryed the beta ver 1005

with my cpu i got little silver compound on the chip resisters but was able to get most of it off so. i don't know if that was it or not.

It sounds like it could be the CPU, you need to swap it for one that you know is working, If only temporarily. it could be a heat problem, you need to clean off ALL of the Arctic Silver from the resistors before you try it again, but be gentle or you could damage something (if you haven't already.
