shady its and intern program since im still in high school. its the only job that would hire me without A+ cert. plus its way better than working at mcdonalds. No offense to anyone who works there. i love working on comps and money is not what im working for.

Jaysin,
How old are you? I, too, am in high school. I regret to say I am a mere 14 year old freshman, but I am relieved to see there is someone who is within my range on this board!
Best,

Hey tech jumper. You will find many age ranges on the board. I for one am twice your age.
As for 7.00 bucks an hour, ouch!. I would have killed for that when I was your age. Just remember its only the beginning. Keep learning and accelerating and you will prosper.

Congrats, GZ3 http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif The experience you gain during your internship will put you that much further ahead in experience for that next step.
The $$ will come, though it's not *the* most important thing, but if you love what you're doing, it's only that much better! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Congrats! I only made 3.50 an hour at my first job, and that was just a few years ago.
Congrats! Beats flippin' burgers, huh?! Best of luck.
Congratulations! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
Oh, yeah! Definetly better than flipping burgers! It sounds alot better too when someone asks you what you do for a living...
(A) 'what do you do for a living?'
'Oh, I work in the Frying Station at Mc Donalds and plan to go through all the stations to become a manager for Mc Donalds'
OR
(B) 'What do you do for a living?'
'I work with computers'

my first was 80 cents an hour and I was on top of the world...my own money http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif that was at 14 and my parents then charged me room and board so I moved out and got a job for double the money to $1.60 and have never looked back...do all they ask and then give them more then they ask for and you'll go far...but...always give your employer your best even if it is McDonalds
always give your employer your best even if it is McDonalds
Very well said, codybear! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I'm with you on that 101%!

You've got your head in the right place! Keep learning, studying and consider certifications. When I interveiw for the boss, certs and hands on carry more weight with me than degrees. I've got several and feel I was ripped off!
