I was walking through a second hand store today, and picked this keyboard up for $10 and I bought it because I thought it looked really cool, but it used the old 5 pin connection, so it must be really old, lucky I had a 5pin/ps2 converter floating around. Anyway, I haven't seen many keyboards in my time, so you might not think this is wierd, but I posted some pics to show you anyway. All the placement of the buttons is wierd, plus their is extra buttons such as extra arrow keys.

the spacebar at the bottom has been cut in half, and the right side is the normal space bar and the left side is another backspace button, wierd I tell ya.

I had one of those!

A few years ago (3 or 4) on my first 'serious computer'. Being relatively naive then (and I'm not now?!) I thouhgt it was just great.
I never worked out what the big cut below the space bar was for and the amount of times I hit the wrong half of the space bar got to me in the end.

Ah, memories...........

Rat,
I'm pretty sure that you language and attitude may be a little out of control there.
Might want to calm down a little

Dang..... I thought that was hillarious....
Guess humor is not allowed here. As far as kids being on this board (I doubt there's anyone younger than 15 here)... most kids know more than their parents when it comes to those forbidden subjects.

Rat must be short on fun if he finds his idiosy hilarious. Did you notice that no one else likes your "joke" ? You're the joke. It doesn't take much intelligence to think up a dirty comment.
How do you know the age of the people on this forum? Are you psychic as well as stupid?

It is just a simple comment no need to fly off the deep end everyone, especially AW

Ok so there may be a few youngsters on the board but if this is the worst they see in a day then i would be very surprised.

I second that. It was a joke, and I don't see why people got offended so easy.

YES I MUST AGREE WITH NDC

While I am an avid poster on this message board, I am merely 14! I can't stay up that late, I go to school (actually I go to school in about 10 minutes!) and I don't need to be reading garbage. Delete that post, before my parents internet controls pick it up and block the sysopt forum from me!

besides, I'm more interested in the receiver (or whatever) that is behind the keyboard! Is that a pioneer???

I was wondering what that was. Looks old. Is that a turntable on top? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Ya, at least thats what I think...perhaps laser disk?

A laserdisk? no way! I got a laser disk and it looks 100% different (newer at least). This must be a 20 year old amp/tuner.

As for techjumper, sorry kid, but sometimes people can't help it.

I don't know about the receiver but my guess is the round thing is the base of a monitor.

I'll guess a Pioneer receiver.

That is a Pioneer Stereo Ampflier SA-550, and the round thing on top is the base of my monitor. I don't know if you guys like Pioneer amps or not, but I picked it up second-hand a while ago, and it a BLOODY good Amp in my opinion, it has never broken down, and it was bargain.

Here is a couple of pics of it for anyone interested. I have no idea how powerful it is, if someone knows, I would be grateful if you told me.

You people need to lighten up! You should hear some of the jokes I have to tell, I'd be banned from the internet, period!

Stay right, Undertow! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I feel I am mature enough a youth to listen to practically anything I hear, without having it mentally or physiologically harm me, but I don't think this board is the place to do it. I haven't yet found a forum on SysOpt labeled, "Adult Lounge" or anything of that nature, so I'm guessing that kind of chat just isn't wanted here.

btw- I think my friend has that exact receiver, I'll check it out, and see if I can really get that thing loud!

Best,

Hey, that amp would go good with my old stereo system. Its like 25 years old, give or take a few years. Oh yea cool keyboard too.
Stereo pumps out 400watts per channel.
I use it for the audio of my computer. Can only use the volume at 3%. But 5 for games. Gotta have that loud audio for game playing.

Oh well, today I put a $450 second-hand amp on laybuy today, it is one year old, and it is a Sherwood, i'll get in less than two weeks, it is soooo heavy, which is good, oooooh I can't wait.

Those old Pioneer systems were hard to beat and in my opinion sound better than 90% of the new stuff out there. Sherwood is an excellent choice as well, you will be happy that you got it.. hope you gots some good speakers for it http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
