I have a SP-PII BXA motherboard, seemingly made by a company called San Li (which also seems to be out of business or at least not on the internet anymore). When I originally built the system, I installed a PII 350 MHZ cpu (which was the highest they went at the time), and this cpu has recently died. In a pinch I installed a slower cpu and am now looking to get another (faster) one for this system. I'd like it to be as fast as possible, since at the moment I don't have thousands to spend on an all new system.

What I need to know is, what is the fastest cpu this board will handle? How can I find this info? I'd like to get the fastest that I could, and am wondering if it will handle a PIII ... I believe some PIII's came with a 100 Mhz bus speed?

Any info, or links to websites that might have info on how to find out more, or how to go about upgrading to a faster processor would be soooo appreciated.

Thanks greatly!

I did read somewhere that upgrading my BIOS might enable me to use a PIII on this motherboard. All I know about the BIOS is that it is this: Award Green, Plug and Play - Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG.

Since the the company that made tha board doesn't have a website (that I have been able to find), how can I get my BIOS upgraded?

And someone also suggested that I tell you guys the actual chipset info: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 2

Thanks again!
