Hi folks:

Someone can tell me if a Pentium II 333 Mhz Deschutes is a good buy for 38 $? Must I buy it?

Is this a good processor? I know it's old but I can't buy a new one.
Please help :)

Well, what do you have now?

I have an old fashioned Pentium II 233 Mhz. My mobo supports only until Pentium II 333 Mhz (so my pocket do), so I think that if I change that old fashioned processor for the other old fashioned PII 333 Mhz, I will have some performance increasing.:)

I dont think its worth $38 for 100 extra mhz. Just my opinion.

You have to decide whether it's worth it to you or not. If you upgraded to a new motherboard, you'd probably need a new case (unless the one you have now is ATX, and then you may still need to upgrade the power supply for some of the newer processors), you'd need a new CPU, MB, and ram. All those would only be the minimum (you may have integrated stuff to replace too, eg. Video, NIC, sound, modem...). I understand what Rhino302 is saying, but a 100mhz jump is pretty good when it's a 40% jump over what you have now...
