Alot of new speakers have came out from the last time I went speaker shopping for friends.

Im looking for something in the 100 dollar range, with at least 4 speaks + sub.
The last one I've installed is the FPS2000 Digital for a friend, sweet speakers no doubt.

Since then, the FPS1500 and FPS1800 came out. Are there any huge differences here?

...and thats only creative...
What about boston acoustics or any of the other companies?

I will be hooking these up to a SBLive w/ Digital Out. They will be used mostly for DVD's, Gaming, and listening to MP3's

What do you think are the best speaks for ~$100?

Labtec's LCS2514's are pretty good too. No digital out, but they run for a bit less than $100. I admit I wouldn't have bought mine if they weren't 25% off but they're great speakers.

You can read my review of them on this site.

Cambridge soundworks 4 speaker with subwolfer setup. The price seems to vary depending on which day you hit their website. I have three sets of them.

I am currently using some 15 dollar wonders that I picked up from a local computer store. They are simply Amplified Speakers. I don't know the name of the company becuase there is only a little text on the whole thing, but it says Wabo-360, amplified speaker system. 15 bucks and they play mp3's and game like a dream. But if your looking for something better,

ok well looks like ur talkin US$, so i am not much help, but personally i don't see/hear a huge difference between many speakers for PC, i am quite happy with my 2 sets of no name speakers: set1= 2x 2-way satellite + 1x sub 1000watt PMPO amp (only rated at 30watt RMS), set2 = 2x 1-way satellite + 1x sub (600watt PMPO, rated at 16watt RMS). Set me back $80AUD, probably about $40USD. But i doubt u'd find exactly the same sets over there being just like a generic type brand.

edit: (and don't think i have bad hearing, i settle for nothing but the best i can afford when it comes to sound, i play guitar and own a nice little (yeah right!) marshall 100watt JCM900 + 300watt quad box for any of you musical people out there will know that is a nice setup, expecially considering i am 17 http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif)
