I can't find the section where I can disable the onboard vid card in BIOS. Can you give me the instructions to disable it, i'm guessing we should have the same BIOS. ~crozeus/racronus

you choose the Plug and Play settings menu.. something like that
and then you'll see something the Onboard AGP, change it to PCI (doesnty matter if you have a AGP card)

i've changed it to PCI already but it still is unable to detect the hardware. Did you change anything else?

There is a jumper on that board that disables the onboard vid.

Hey,
I have the same board and nowhere in the manual can I find anything about a jumper.
The add-on video card is supposed to override the onboard video once it's installed.
However, you must remove the onboard listing in Device Manager and remove the drivers for it in Add/Remove Programs. Do this before you physically install the card. If the system insists on loading drivers for the onboard video when it boots up, then you'll have to go back into Device Manager, choose Properties for the onboard video and check the box beside where it says, "Disable in this Hardware Profile". Reboot. Your add-on card should take over. But then you will have to install the drivers for it.
Post back with your progress.
