Pionex- I was looking for a new computer about a year ago. I checked out sams club for one, just to look. there was a pionex for 300 dollars. While I was messing with it IT CRASHED !!! Ya, i was going to buy that. Within minutes I had Sams employees all over me telling me that this is not normal, there was a power surge, hee hee.. BOYCOTT PIONEX! mIcHaEl Mntsnow 11-01-2000, 07:31 PM Please no multiple posting. I have transfered your other thread to the ReSellerRating forum were this belongs. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/Forum11/HTML/000188.html mummey1 11-02-2000, 12:07 AM To anyone seeing to buy a computer, DON'T get a Pionex! My elderly father purchased one last year, and has had problems with it. Thank goodness he purchased an extended warranty, because the hard drive crashed. TRYING TO GET SERVICE FROM THEIR 'CUSTOMER SERVICE', (using the term loosely) is like looking for needles in a haystack. They have two toll free numbers, and my poor Dad tried for 4 hours to get thru. When he didn't get thru, I tried, but to no avail. The number rings right in however you are told to "wait online until the next available tech can assist you"...well, you wait and wait and wait, when all of a sudden another robotic voice comes on and says, "Our reps are all busy, please try your call later".. then they're not there 24/7 so if you don't reach them during their normal working hours, you are out of luck. (not that they would ever answer their phone anyway.) I tried for three hours to get thru. Therefore I took the "bull by the horn" and called the company he purchased it from, and they're going to send him another kind of computer. I am telling everyone I know, as this is what you DON'T want to deal with when you invest almost a couple thousand dollars ...only NOT to receive any support! SysOpt.com
