I played Return to Castle Wolfenstein on my 1.2Bird with a GF2PRO and my friends 1.4Bird with a Ti500 and there is absolutely no difference at any resolution. I though this might help those who are shopping for a video card. Game looks very good on and plays very fast on both systems. This being one of the most demanding games on the market now.

the game probably still isnt pushing the GF3 to the limit, the PRO will be running less FPS but it will still be more than enough to not be noticable.

It just goes to show, the only real reason to get a GF3 is to delay how long it will be before you have to replace that card.
GF2's are as fast for most of todays games, but they may not support all of 2002's.
No difference at all ?!
I seriously doubt it ... try setting the game @1600x1200x32 ... I bet you'll see some difference :)
I'm using GF2Pro with 1GHz T-Bird myself, and the game ran here quite smooth too (@1024x768x32, maxed out). But then I saw it at my friends place, with 1.2GHz T-Bird and Asus V8200 Deluxe (GF3), and man ... the difference is huge :(
As for "but they may not support all of 2002's.", Rugor ... hell, even my old Voodoo2 can run virtually everything now ... so what if @640x480x16 :)
Best Regards ...

I'm sure there was a difference. Like 100fps vs 150fps. Your refresh rates limit how many fps you see anyway. I can't tell a difference between 1600x1200 and 1280x1024 so just left it at the lower one. Just wanted to show that GF2PRO is plenty for todays games. And it's not like next years games will make a huge leap.

To be honest ND, I haven't found a game I can't run on my TNT1 for that matter, though an Athlon XP will let you get the most out of one of those cards.
