E-mail me at sales@OmanServ.com if interested Praetorian 12-28-2001, 05:20 AM E-mailed ya about it. ;) kvk007 12-28-2001, 05:34 AM I just got it now, and replied you back :) scottsaxman 12-28-2001, 10:39 AM Inerested in AGP card, but late as usual. If things don't work out, let me know. It'd beat the PCI video I have now! Praetorian 12-28-2001, 03:59 PM A couple threads down someone is selling a S3 Savage4 32mb AGP card. But from what I hear, those are not very good cards. edtrip 12-29-2001, 08:19 PM Well the S3 savage 4 is not a great card, and the Voodoo will out perform it, BUT it's not that bad of a card with a little tweaking. I dropped one in my brother's PC this spring, a 500 celeron with 128mb RAM, and it's working very good for Dirt Track Racing, and DTR Sprints, and Nascar3, and a couple others, all being run at 1024x768and they're smooth and they look good. So, it's not that bad of a card. Death To Mel 01-04-2002, 01:16 AM The Voodoo3 3000 blows the ati savage4 card away! The voodoo 3 is as good as a geforce2 mx Praetorian 01-04-2002, 02:46 AM Nevermind........:o :D kvk007 01-04-2002, 02:51 AM Praetorian, I appologise. I was away on my New Year break. I JUST recieved your mail today evening! Therefore i will send the video card tomorrow afternoon. Don't get mad, because i did not cheat you! you can check your bank account, the money is NOT taken still. Happy new year. Praetorian 01-04-2002, 03:01 AM Thats fine. I was just getting a little nervous. All my online deals have gone good, didn't want anything to go wrong with this. Thanks. i'll edit that post so not everyone knows. :D kvk007 01-04-2002, 03:04 AM Thanks :) Praetorian 01-07-2002, 06:21 PM Your card came today. It seems to work fine except I can't boot X server in Linux because I need to reconfigure it for the new card. But, thats my problem. :) Other than that the card seems to work fine. Once I get graphic stuff going through on it I'll really let ya know how it works. Right now I'm only at a command line. :D kvk007 01-07-2002, 06:23 PM Praetorian, thanks :) The card should be working perfecly.. But as i promised you, if you are not satisfied with it or doesn't work with your system, just return it soon. ofcourse not after few months lol. But hey are you starting a webhosting company???? or what is your server for?? Praetorian 01-07-2002, 09:22 PM Oh no, X Server is the graphical environment in Linux. Right now it configure for my nVidia card but since I replaced it with this Voodoo I need to reconfigure it for that card. But, since I'm a newbie at Linux I really can't seem to get it working. I'm waiting for a buddy of mine to return the Mandrake cd's so I can reinstall the OS and have it configured for my new card. I am going to be using my 450mhz K6-2 and setting it up as an FreeBSD server to host my website. I hate paying for extra features on my site. If I host it myself I can apply extra stuff on my own and just pay for extra bandwidth for my connection. :) kvk007 01-07-2002, 09:24 PM Praetorian, i guess we need to talk about setting servers and stuff. I hate webhosting :) Do you have MSN or ICQ or mIRC? if yes please send me private message about your login on # or nick.. Praetorian 01-09-2002, 11:14 AM I did PM you my contact info. I've got one more question though. Is there somewhere like Heatware that I can leave a good seller rating for you? ;) I'm very pleased with the product and how all the communication went. Thank you again. kvk007 01-09-2002, 01:36 PM Praetorian, there isn't a way to leave a *point* for me. But i would like to THANK you more because of your trust. Trust and good communication is what matters most to me. When you are satisfied with my product, am satisfied with the cash i got. Although i didn't earn 1000 bucks. But oh well :) I have a 17" EV 700 gateway monitor, 1 year old and in perfect condition, but need someone to buy it, around 70US$, so i hope IF you know anyone who wana buy it, just inform then. Thanks in advance :) kvk007 01-09-2002, 01:37 PM By the way, is www.techimo.com yours?? Death Bane 01-09-2002, 02:37 PM yo "death to mel" have you lost your mind? voodoo3 will never compete with a Geforce2 Praetorian 01-09-2002, 11:32 PM Originally posted by Death Bane yo "death to mel" have you lost your mind? voodoo3 will never compete with a Geforce2 The Voodoo will do just fine for me. Maybe a GeForce2 when I need it. ;) Originally posted by kvk007 By the way, is www.techimo.com yours?? I wish! :D No, that site belong to Scott Wainner. The previous founder, owner, Editor-In-Chief of SysOpt.com. Scott sold this site to Earthweb.com in order to gain more resources and financial backing for the site. A year later Earthweb sold it (or the whole company) to Internet.com, the current owner of the site. Internet.com made budget cuts and fired the moderators and contributors of this site. They continued to volunteer for the site and help Scott (the only employee left for the site. Held the position of Editor-In-Chief) keep this place going. In October Scott became a casualty of budget restrictions was fired. He then decided to create his own site. In a few days after losing his job he, with the help of Mark Stubble, created www.techimo.com. After annoucing the creation of the site and all moderators stating they'd be leaving SysOpt a few thousand of the most active members here left to go to TechIMO. A huge flame war started, the new administrator, Gus (not admin anymore) started deleted threads, accounts, and blocking the use of the word TechIMO on these boards. Anyway, all that has calmed down, a lot of posts go unanswered here, and a few of us (me included) come back to help the nice people who are seeking tech support. I hope this explains stuff for ya. ;) outlaw_revolver 01-10-2002, 02:45 PM Hum no way now how a 16mb card can hang with a 32mb geforce2 mx and up!!!!! Even a mx200 with 32 mb of ram will blow a voodoo3 out of the water! The voodoo3 driver support has stoped! So if you want to use it on windows xp you will have to download some tweaked drivers! All for the speed of a voodoo3 is this (old) card worth the trouble? I think it is outdated and blows! peace oh yeah this was directed to death to mel I guess your not a gamer or dont care for a sharper image?
