Maybe someone can help with my "slow" gf3 ti200

First off: My system
Celeron 700 o/c @ 1.1
Generic 133+ mobo/via chipset with 4.36 drivers
512 pc 133 ram @ cas 2
20 gig HD 7200 rpm
Soundblaster live

Before my install i made sure i used nvcleaner for a nice clean install. Loaded the card used the 21.85 drivers, got everything cinfigured and ran 3dmark (1024x768x32bit) to get a score of 4400.

Installed the 21.88 (on cd from box) and got a score very similar 4400. then overclocked from 175/400 to 190/470. Rock stable...but no increase in 3dmark2001.

Am i being greedy here...almost all the reviews i have read show the card getting scores of 5500 or more.

I also have agp 4x enabled and originally had 256 aperature but scaled it down to 128 to see if that made a difference, none

Any suggestions???

For your system, it's a pretty good 3dmark.

The reason why they got so much more is because most reviews had a faster CPU, Mobo, and system memory.

The bottleneck is coming from the CPU, that's prob. why you didn't see much if no increase in 3dmark.

Hope this helped, Peace!

I have an Athlon XP 1600 and GF3 TI200.... I'm getting 6005 in 3DMark2001. (no overclocking).

I don't think you will ever get 5500 with your present hardware... What you are getting now seems pretty respectable for your computer.

Thats a good score for your system, the celery is holding back the GF3, even my 1.4GHz Thunderbird is holding back mine :(

core @ 220MHz, RAM @ 500MHz (its an MSI card BTW, the RAM runs fine with no artifacts at 550MHz but i aint benched it yet at that speed)

Thanks for the replies...

I guess my system is holding it back. Oh well, its better than the 1900 i got on my MX400 32meg sdr card. What a difference.
