Changing the Windows load screen picture

Do you know that picture that loads up when you turn on the computer that says "Windows XX" as you load windows? How do you change that picture? I know it can be done, but how? Any ideas will help.

go to Google (http://www.google.com) or any other decent search engine and search for 'startup screen' (without quotes) you will find all you need to know.

anyway for win9X,

look for in boot drive:

logow.sys // startup screen
logos.sys //logout screen

'J' with these files and you should get your desired results.
