 I have to make a game in Qbasic class. I'm only in high school, and I know HTML and java, but Qbasic... I think it's a wonderful language, but...

Anyway, I need to make a simple game. Does anyone out there have any QBasic game programs they made that they can send me :( ? It can't be too complicated... But I need something!

Thanks in advance!!

The game has to be original. Thanks for the suggestion of Tic Tac Toe, though... We're doing games like an easy space-invaders style or Battle Ship. I want to do a duck shooting gallery... Could someone help me with writing the code to:

1. Get ducks to move across the screen from left to right in a single row at the top of the screen.

2. Have a gun at the bottom of the ducks that moves from left to right at the whim of the user, who presses left and to move the gun. Have the gun shoot when you press space bar.

4. When you shoot three ducks, you win, and the game is over.

If anyone has some extra time... I'd be eternally grateful if someone could help me out! If there's anyway that I could return the favor, let me know. Thanks guys.

Must be a tough High School. When I was in school, we did some databases on Apple II's and what not..That was about the hardest thing we did there.

out of curiousity...do people still use QBasic?i mean is it still a commonly used language..or is it `obsolete`?

Rhino302,

Things do change. In my high school (long time ago, galaxy far away, uphill both ways) they had one computer, keyboard, teletype. Somebody gave me username password and I played a text based golf game. Even though I don't think I was supposed to be there....

Ka0ticMiND,

Yes, people do still use Qbasic, a lot more than one would tend to believe. Though I have it, I last wrote a proggy about 2 years ago.
