Any clues on how to set my AMD CPU to it's stock speed. This is an AMD Athlon 1 GHz Processor. I need to do this to get rid of the "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error.

Harsha.

Depends on the motherboard.
Does the motherboard use jumpers, dipswitches, or bios to set the cpu speed?
Also, is the cpu a 1G (200fsb) or 1G (266fsb)

10 x 100 (200fsb) = 1000 or 1G
7.5 x 133 (266fsb) = 997.5 or 1G

Imperion!

Thanx for showing interest.

This I suppose should be a 7.5 x 133 = 997.5 and a VIA KT 133 chipset which I suppose again is one of the very few Socket A motherboards which will allow you to adjust your CPU speeds.

Is there any other info that you require?

Harsha.

Motherboard manufacturer? Your motherboard manual should tell you how to set the cpu cpeed.

If you have a 266fsb cpu, set the multiplier to 7.5 and bus speed to 133.
