Well, if the 3500's aren't even out yet, then how do you expect anybody to be able to answer this question?
Personally I'd go with the Klipsch, they make some of the best loudspeakers in the world.

I looked at specs for the Promedia, here: http://www.gamecenter.com/Hardware/Audio/Klipsch/
I don't know about "rock the house", but for ok bass and top notch sound quality, these seem to be pretty good.
Promedia specs:
400w total
60w per sat (four)
160w for dual 6 1/2" sub
Ok....the CLs don't even compare. http://csw.creative.com/products/dtt3500/specs.asp
CL 3500 specs:
79w total
7w per sat (four)
21w center
30w sub
No booms from that sub
I'm a bass freak.
When I said "ok bass", I meant it wasn't going to shake the windows or knock anything down http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif. Guaranteed, you will feel it to some degree, but personally, I don't think dual 6 1/2s are enough. I'm into "real" stereo (reciever is used and bigger speakers) which allows for full customization.
I've been around with block with subs. Two weeks ago, I bought two Boston Acoustics 5 1/4" CR-6 bookshelf speakers and a BA 10" sub. The speakers kicked, but the sub really sucked in terms of volume. I could barely feel it. Sure, the hearing part of the bass was good (accurate, etc.), but I wanted to [i]feel it. I returned it and got a Klipsch 12". THAT was MUCH, MUCH better! I still have it.....BUT it wasn't quite what I wanted. It shaked stuff, but also didn't have the volume control.
Currently, I'm waiting for the audio store to get the Klipsch 15" subwoofer in. I know that it will do it, because the 12" almost did.
IMO, getting "computer speakers" for audio, is like getting a console system for gaming - they are both package deals.
I just sold a pair of Pioneer 15" floor standing speakers that were about to blow because of the bass they could barely handle. I've had them since January.
As I said, I am a bass freak. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
