I Have A Pentium 3 650Mhz Comp Made By Hewlitt Packard, And I Purchased A 3DFX VooDoo3 Card, And Im Having Trouble Installing This Video Card. The Original VC Is Connected To The Mother Board, And I Cannot Replace With The New VC. Theres Two Slots That Are Open For Insertion On The MB, And 2 Open Spots That Are Empty...Anyway, The Teeth Will Not Fit...
Or Should I Say The Metal Will Not Fit. Is There Any Possible Way That I Can Install This Card Onto My Computer>? Its Model # Is:
8750c ...... Well All Im Asking Is, Is There A Way To Install This Card Onto My Computer, And Is This Card Even Compatable With It? Thanks, You Can E-mail Me At Bentz62@msn.com Or Just Reply On This If You Care To Help.
Thanks, Joshua

Welcome to SysOpt, Joshua.
1.Look on the box for the new vc and let us know if it is PCI or AGP version.
2. Is your current video integrated (onboard) or is it in one of the 4 slots?
3.If its in one of the slots , is the slot color brown and shorter in length than the others?

Thanks For The Welcome,
Anyway, The Current Video Card Is Integrated, And On The 4 Slots Theres Only 2 Things Plugged In, One Is A Sound Card And The Other Is The Modem, On The Empty Slot There Is The Mic And Something Else Plugged In. The Two Things In The Slots Are Not Brown, And They Are All The Same Size. I Dont Know If The VC I Have Is A PCI Or AGP Version. I Bought This From My Cousin, And He Tossed Out The Box. The Mother Board Is One Piece. If You Know Anything That Will Help, Please Get Back 2 Me, Thanks Again, Joshua.

Well it appears to me you have the Intel i810 or i815 chipset which has an AGP video controller built in. You have 4 pci slots and onboard sound. The 9750c came with a modem pci card and a nic pci card. So I'm guessing that is whats in your pci slots. Regardless, the question is whether the vc you have will fit in a vacant slot. Here's a link to a pic of what the expansion slots look like, AGP,PCI and ISA. Take a careful look at the pci and agp slots. Notice the slots have a bridge or key allowing for the correct matching cards notch.

example:
AGP lllllllllll lllllllllllllllllllll
PCI lllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllll
The card must match the slot. You probably have an AGP card . You should be able to sell it or trade it for the PCI version of the VooDoo3.

Yeah get a Voodoo 3 PCI card. They are just as good as a AGP version. I put I blue orb and memory heatsinks on mine and overclocked it to in excess of 180-200 MHz.
