K7S5A rev5
AMD athalon T-bird 1200 266axiac

i reboot the system to dos
type the flash prog exe name

then the following comes up:

Dos/4G Protected Mode Run-time Version 2.01a
Copyright (c) Tenberry Software Incc. 1996

...then:

Chipset/Flash part isn't available. The function will be invalid.

I've formatted a floppy using 'format a: /s' in dos then went into windows and copied the flash program and new bios to this disk. Then when i go back to realmode dos and try flash the thing i get the above messages. I tried clearing the cmos memory using the jumper thinking my bios was maybe a little corrupt or something but it made no diference. Am i missing something here? Ive looked in the bios for some sort of protection which would stop me from flashing a new one but there doesnt seem to be any.

Im trying to flash a oc bios; my bios is a ami and im using the right ami flash program.

If anyone can help please do so:) :)

A bump and some info from swipped from another board:
:)
To flash update K7S5A with SiS 735 Chipset with AMIBIOS:

Copy utility off ecs site called aminf329.exe and the latest update to a floppy.
Update is in a winzip self extracting file. Extract to floppy.
You should have on floppy, aminf329.exe and a file with .rom extrension.

Boot to DOS and run this command:

a:\aminf329.exe (update file name here).rom

Make sure there is space between the 2 files.
