having video problems

i have reformatted and now all i can get is 16 colors and 640x400
resolution. not sure where to find the driver i need to get it straightened out.
sytem is:
Northgate
Sis530 pci/agp 3d vga chipset
award plug and play bios
can you help?:confused:
