Since the Microsoft hack forums like these should be ULTRA careful for suspicious posts about Microsoft codes, like the pirating questions SysOpt unfortuanutly gets sometimes. If you are planning to pull a joke on this forum by requesting source codes, or posting a fake one, you might be a target for the vicious investigation Microsoft has deployed since the hack.

Indeed that is true.
This incident is another wakeup call for those with valuables on the network to triple-check their securities.
The most vulnerable part of any network I believe is the email system, IMO. And that's indeed the entry point which the hackers took to enter the system.
I'd bet Microsoft is scrambling all over to save face, ensure end-users and others of its security and their security (or lack thereof).
Yes, I believe there may very well be officials roaming around these computer related hardware/software BBS sites looking for clues, hints, signs, and answers.
