Can't delete/copy files with name config*.*

When I try to install a game or program on my Compaq Armada 1750 it never lets me copy files with the word config in it. Because of this I can't install Operation Flashpoint or Norton Utilities on it.

It keeps saying that this file is protected and won't let the install program copy that files to the hard drive.
