Delay deleting files????

Hi,
I have some strange things happens in my PC.
I work fine a lot of time but when I going to delete some files (1 or many) the systems have a long delay (how no response) but later I control the system again.

If I try to move or rename or create a new folder, it's the same thing, a long delay.

This problem happens after I use the PC for 1 or 2 hours, at begining all is Ok.

I had this problem with Win2K running on 128 MB/RAM, memory upgrade to 256 MB solved my problem. Also run defrag and scandisk regularly.

Excuse me...
My system specs are:

Pentium 3 800Mhz. Bus. 100Mhz.
RAM: 256Mb. 133.
Windows 98SE
HD. Quantum 40Gb. 4 Partition of 10Gb. (The error is with any partition)

Let's blame it on Micro$oft :D . It's a problem which occurs in all M$ operating systems since Win95..... I had this on different systems with win95, 98 first edition, me, nt4 and 2k..... I really don't know how to solve this, maybe you could try to update your drivers...
