I tried to reformating an IBM laptop and load Win95 on it fresh...well I used Fdisk and repartioned it. Next I formatted it and made the drive bootable. However when I restart the computer I keep getting the error message at which pint all I can do is power off the machine.
"Your program caused a divide overflow error. If the problem persists, contact your program vendor"
Any suggestions???

Some Laptops put part of the bios on the hard drive and by fdisking you could have wiped it out. I would start there. Why did you fdisk and did it work fine before?

I searched at MacroSwamp for as long as I could and came up EMPTY.
NO Surprise at that , MS is famous for hiding things from you and making you work for a resolution.
One thing kept coming up, was conflicts with various word type programs..
I dunno, I was SURE I had seen that exact error you describe..
Get back, if you can, let us know some more specifics about the system you're running..
