I'm currently having difficulty with my DVD drive. Its a Pioneer DVD-106S (slot drive) and it doesn't seem to like running programs from CDs I put in it. It even happens with Autoplay, crashing whatever the autoplay program is. Is there a way to cure this or is it a dodgy drive?
Any help would be appreciated.

My friend have a Pioneer DVD that was giving him same sort of problem we found a BIOS upgrade and the Asus mobo IDE drivers that solves some of his problem.
