Steve CMonster 10-22-2000, 09:28 AM Can you give some more info on the mobo and system? hallam2003 10-23-2000, 02:53 PM did you check you little system list thing, where it puts a question mark on drives or cards not working properly, of coarse that is only with windows though. My experience is that something isn't working properly, maybe a CD-ROM drive or something like that... Mine did that after i conpletely messed up my cd-rom, probably need to check everything, if you haven't already.... the system is *probably* trying to access something or check something and it's just not responding, or not responding like the computer thinks it should...I ended up replacing my cd-rom drive, but that's just because i screwed it up...oh well Hallam Please read http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/Forum17/HTML/001417.html [This message has been edited by Mntsnow (edited 10-26-2000).] jman01pa 10-23-2000, 04:39 PM I think he got the point. G Richard_Cranium72 10-23-2000, 05:59 PM On some mobo's there is a time-out setting to allow the HD time to spool up to speed before accessing data. I set mine to 16 seconds, why, I don't mind waiting a few seconds longer , I'd rather make sure it's wound up first. Check that.
