A virus was "put" on my computer, I am not sure how, but it was. How do I get rid of it when everything I put into it is infected, and I cannot see it with other drives by setting it as a slave. Any idea's would be grateful.

What make of drive do you have? Most if not all drive manufacturers have low level formatters (they write 0's across the entire drive), go to their site, click on support and find the utility download section. this will clean everything off of your drive!

have someone make you a start up disk ,write protect it ,boot from floppy , at the a:\ prompt type " a:\format c:/u/s" without the quotation marks. that should make it a (pardon the expression)dumb blonde.

If you have access to another computer and want to be SURE it's gone off the HD, go here and get Eraser, or BC Wipe

It's less than a meg so it'll fit on a floppy..

Just out of curiosity does that wipe out the MBR as well?

WIPE.exe over writes the INTIRE HARD DRIVE
you will need to F-disk and re partition after using WIPE
