You need to buy a 300-watt or greater PS, especially for an Athlon Thunderbird. Unless your power supply is proprietary, you should be able to install a good Antec 350-watt PSU for less than $50. Antec PSUs above 300 watts are also AMD-certified, so you'll be better off with an Antec 300-watt PSU than a generic 300-watt PSU. aznlurkerz 12-09-2001, 11:07 PM thanks alot setiguy2000 12-10-2001, 01:17 AM I use an ANTEC PP303X 300watt power supply. You can find it usually for less than $45 at most places like Fry's Electronics, etc. I run an AMD Palamino XP 1600+ CPU, Samsung DVD-ROM, Plextor 12/10/32A CD-R Burner, 3 case fans, 1 monitor cooling fan and CPU fan, Gigabyte GA-7DX MB, 384MB DDR RAM, Leadtek Winfast GeForce2 GTS PRO video card and USB 2.0 4-port card with it with no problems. It meets all AMD specs. SysOpt.com
