Believe it or not, yes. I have seen portions of RAM get toasted. It happened to a buddy of mine after he got a severe spike during a heavy storm.

I am running Windows 2000, 128 MB RAM. We recently experienced a severe thunderstorm. Power went out twice, both times while I was on the computer. After that my ram went down to a mere 138 kb RAM !!!!!!!

This is a true testiment of mine, how do I fix it though?

There is no way to fix it. Only thing left to do is replace it. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
